Our “Soft Color Collection” includes some of the most gorgeous carpets made today.  Many of these pieces come from northern Afghanistan and northern Pakistan and are hand-knotted by ethnic Turkmen and Hazara people. Karakoram 7’10” x 10’1″. A hand-knotted “Folk Theme” carpet from Northwest Frontier Province (NWFP) of Pakistan. Made of handspun, all natural colored wool (no dyes are used in this carpet, only the natural colored wool from the sheep) living in the high plateaus of the Karakoram Mountain Range.
