High Hopes does an exceptional job of properly training volunteers. One example includes a Sidewalker Workshop – “Discussion and practice of advanced level sidewalking techniques. Topics to include: Physical supports, communicating with your riders, FAQ’s. Bring your questions!”
Belouch Saddlebag 1’10” x 2’11” (Value $210)
Kebabian’s donation is a Belouch “saddlebag” from southern Afghanistan measuring 1’10” x 2’11”. This delightful bag has a handknotted face and a striped woven back both made of wool from their own sheep. This piece is approximately 30 years old. The Belouchi are a semi-nomadic people from Belouchistan which is located in southern Afghanistan, southwest Pakistan and southeast Iran. They use the materials they have on hand to create charming “saddle” or cargo bags to carry their belongings along in style. This delightful bag is adorned with a woven lattice of tassels decorated with buttons.
