Kebabian’s Latest Ad

We are proud to present our latest advertisement that will be featured in an upcoming issue of New England Home magazine!
The carpet featured in the background of this ad, is a fine Gabbeh, or Kashkuli carpet. It was hand-knotted in Southwest Persia by women from the nomadic Qasqai Kashkuli tribe. It’s made of handspun vegetally dyed wool from their own sheep.
The left polaroid is of an extremely rare, antique Serapi carpet ca. 1890 from Northwest Persia. It was probably made by Azeri women, using handspun vegetally dyed local wool.
The right polaroid shows a finely woven “Antique European” runner, hand-knotted in Northern Afghanistan by Turkmen women. Made of handspun vegetally dyed Ghazni wool, and silk from Samarkand. After weaving this piece was given a very labor intensive antique finishing process.
