Super Fine Afghan Bakshayesh Vegetable Dyed Wool Rug

Hand knotted in northern Afghanistan by Turkmen weavers using vegetable dyed New Zealand worsted wool in a cottage industry setting. The Turkmen are well known for using horizontal floor looms, which were also employed by their nomadic ancestors. These spectacular rugs are very unique and of exceptional quality due to their super fine weave, high quality materials, and beautiful use of colors.
