Hand knotted in a village around Qum ca. 1950 using 100% fine Persian wool. The city of Qum is located about 100 miles south of Tehran. Post World War II, Qum became an important market for carpets from villages in a large area. When it comes to antique rugs, condition is everything. This piece is in excellent condition, with full pile and no repairs.
