Fine Tekke Bokhara Madder Red Vegetable Dyed Wool Rug
$3,112.00
Hand knotted in northern Afghanistan by weavers using handspun, vegetable dyed wool. The Tekke Bokhara pattern consists of an octagon surrounding a quartered hexagon, and if you look closely at the inner ornamentation of the Tekke motif you can see relics of bird forms. This rug is a perfect example of classic tribal rug weaving. The primitive design is the perfect canvas for the madder red’s beautiful abrash, which radiates throughout the piece.
