Antique Persian Lavar Kerman Rug
$6,500.00
Hand knotted in a workshop in the city of Kerman, located in southeast Iran. Kermans are easily recognizable due to their romantic treatment of flowers and pastel colorings. Common field colors include blues and light blues, rose, greens, ivories, and many more. Just as all fine rugs produced around Arak were called Sarouks, all fine Kermans are called Lavars. This exceptional piece was made ca. 1890 and has minor wear consistent with age.
