Antique Moghan Kazak Handwoven Rug
$15,000.00
This late nineteenth-century Moghan Kazak rug is a masterpiece of Caucasian craftsmanship. Handwoven with exceptional skill, this exquisite rug features a vibrant palette of rich reds, deep blues, warm yellows, and lush tealy blues, all derived from natural dyes. The intricate geometric patterns, with central octagonal motifs and star-like designs, reflect the enduring cultural heritage of the region. Most Moghan Kazak rugs are less than 10′ long, making this a unique piece not only in history and aesthetic, but also in dimension. The piece is in very good condition.
PANTONE shades: We do our best to find the closest match to one or multiple colors in the rug. The shade card we choose may not always be the perfect one, but we do our best (it’s a lot of work)! At times we may show multiple shade cards so you can get a better sense of color. Finally, when photographing rugs from the same group (shipment, collection, SKU, etc.) we will often use one or two shade card(s) so that you can get a good sense of the coloration. Hope you enjoy viewing our beautiful rugs!
