Fine Persian Afshar Bidjar Wool Rug
$3,000.00
Hand knotted by Afshars who live to the north of Bidjar around Tekab and Tekkenteppe. While most Bidjar rugs are woven by Kurds, this small Afshar clan is known for weaving some of the finest Persian Bidjars. Afshar Bidjars are woven in the Kurdish Bidjar tradition; the rugs are predominantly geometric, although they can be a little more flowery. Bidjars are known for their practically indestructible construction, fine weave, glorious colors and truly one-of-a-kind village designs.
Every rug is photographed individually so that you know exactly what you’re getting! Yes, it’s a lot of work. Why do we do it? Because every rug is worth it!
