Semi-Antique Persian Heriz Rug

Hand knotted in Heriz, northwest Persia. Heriz carpets usually have a dominant central medallion and bold corner motifs, but despite their commonality in design each and every Heriz is different. Each piece is made individually by weavers working from no more than a fragment or a drawing, only giving them a general indication of the required style.
