Larhabi Soumak Vegetable Dyed Wool Rug

Handwoven in southern Afghanistan and southwest Pakistan by Afghan Larhabi refugees using handspun wool and natural dyes. Soumaks are a type of flat weave rug. Unlike kilims, they are created by a warp-wrapping process, which makes these rugs durable and texturally distinct. This lovely carpet has soft colors, a beautiful all-over pattern, and is superbly balanced; not too simple and not too busy.
