Antique Turkmen Yomut Kepse Gul Handwoven Rug

This exceptional late nineteenth-century Turkmen Yomut rug, measuring approximately 5’9” x 9’8”, features a captivating array of symmetrical geometric and stylized floral patterns in rich tones of wine red, white, blue, and orange. The central motif is composed of repeated Kepse Gul designs, framed by multiple borders with intricate geometric patterns and smaller motifs, highlighting the meticulous artistry involved. The rug exhibits some signs of wear and fading, which only enhance its antique charm and historical significance.

The rug has been properly dusted and cleaned by Kebabian Rugs. We have also done needlework on the rug to help maintain its structural integrity for its next owner. There are some patches and stains that can be seen in the photos. The wear throughout is clearly visible.
