Antique Kazak Handwoven Rug
Original price was: $1,500.00.$695.00Current price is: $695.00.
Measuring approximately 4’1” x 6’0”, this rug features a striking central medallion surrounded by intricate geometric motifs and a highly symmetrical pattern. Its rich color palette, dominated by blue, red, and white creates a visually striking design. The multiple borders, adorned with star and floral motifs, frame the central pattern beautifully. Kazak rugs are renowned for their bold, geometric designs, vibrant colors, and robust construction, setting them apart from other Caucasian rugs. Traditionally, these rugs were woven by nomadic tribes and villages in the Kazak region, reflecting their rich cultural stories and symbolism through intricate patterns.
The rug is aesthetically worn in some areas, but overall it has a good structure despite its nineteenth century age! We have done some work on the ends and sides, and in the weak areas, applied fabric to the back. It has been properly dusted and cleaned by Kebabian Rugs, and is ready for its next owner.
This is a clearance rug. All sales are final.
PANTONE shades: We do our best to find the closest match to one or multiple colors in the rug. The shade card we choose may not always be the perfect one, but we do our best (it’s a lot of work)! At times we may show multiple shade cards so you can get a better sense of color. Finally, when photographing rugs from the same group (shipment, collection, SKU, etc.) we will often use one or two shade card(s) so that you can get a good sense of the coloration. Hope you enjoy viewing our beautiful rugs!
