Nomad Modern “Ocean” Handwoven Tribal Rug

Exceptional one of a kind modern Afghan carpet made with the best quality wool and natural dyes in the region. The wool has absorbed the dye creating the most beautiful shades of blue and green.

These pieces have features of both knotted rugs and kilim rugs. Every few rows the weaver will tie knots using Ghazni wool. Ghazni wool is one of the best wools in the world; it’s very soft and has a long staple length. It’s the perfect wool for achieving the texture for the Nomad Moderns. On the front of the rug, the naturally dyed Ghazni wool has glorious abrash and feels amazing underfoot. The rug can even be used backside up, which has a beautiful flatwoven textured look.

PANTONE shades: We do our best to find the closest match to one or multiple colors in the rug. The shade card we choose may not always be the perfect one, but we do our best (it’s a lot of work)! At times we may show multiple shade cards so you can get a better sense of color. Finally, when photographing rugs from the same group (shipment, collection, SKU, etc.) we will often use one or two shade card(s) so that you can get a good sense of the coloration.
