The name Khal Mohammadi refers to the master rug producer and dye master Khal Mohammad who originally designed these rugs in Northern Afghanistan. These rugs are known for their all wool construction and deep, saturated red colors, which lighten and soften beautifully when one looks at the light side of the rug. Our Khal Mohammadi rugs are hand knotted in Afghanistan by Turkoman weavers.
