Afghan Heriz Transitional Rug
Hand knotted in northern Afghanistan by Hazara women in a cottage industry setting using handspun vegetable dyed Ghazni wool on upright looms. Kebabian’s rugs and carpets from these families are some of the finest examples of classic tribal and village designs due to the weavers’ commitment to continuing the integrity of the original carpets. This requires the use of authentic materials, proper weaving and finishing. The end results are recreations that have “soul” and where the human touch is self-evident.
