Kebabian’s Oriental Rugs was honored to be a part of Her Haven’s latest project for the Recovery Network, which provides residential services for women living with co-occuring disorders and histories of trauma.
We applaud Carey Dougherty and Her Haven’s mission, which is to “help women by doing what we love: designing spaces that bring peace, inspiration, hope and healing.”
Carey continues, “Why design? More than beautiful surroundings, the hottest trends, or simply joining form and function, we believe:
Design can provide peace and comfort,
Design has the power to heal and restore,
Design can deliver inspiration and hope, and
Design can enhance our lives and lift our spirits.”
Kebabian’s Oriental Rugs donated a Karakoram that was hand-knotted in northern Pakistan. The playful, yet gentle flowers include a pallete of peach, ivory and pomegranate flowers whose leaves have a varied array of greens due to the incredible abrash resting on a backdrop of a rich, earthy brown.
“I know that what we do is so much more than simply fabrics and furniture and rugs and paint–that when those fabrics and furniture and rugs and paint are provided with care and love, we make a difference. YOU have made a difference, and I hope you and John feel amazing about that.”
“Thank you again times a million for the unbelievable donation. That rug made the whole room! Simply stunning!”
